Configuring OpenVPN on FreeBSD [Quick Guide]

[Edit the vars file to reflect your details. This will save you the trouble of having to type your organisation's details every time you generate a certificate. You may also need to change your shell to sh to execute the scripts. I also had to do a chmod +x * in that directory.]

Copy the generated client keys to /etc/openvpn/. You will need to copy, for example, acerlaptop.crt, acerlaptop.key and ca.crt and mentioned them in openvpn.conf on the client as follows.

Add the following in /etc/rc.conf on the server.

Note: Some documentation propose adding if_tun_load="YES" to /boot/loader.conf. I found that is not necessary. Openvpn will start the required device drivers automatically. You can try adding it, if openvpn fails to start or dynamically start it at a prompt by issuing kldload if_tun.

Using FreeNAS 8.0 as a Bridge

I have installed and tested this on FreeNAS 8.0 Beta

My FreeNAS server and one workstation are in the same room and I needed a way to connect them to the LAN to allow for fast file transfers between all computers in my network.

Since I lacked a switch, I needed to convert FreeNAS into a bridging device. It was just a matter of installing a spare NIC into the FreeNAS server and doing the following:

Make my CF card readable (you might skip this step if you installed FreeNAS on a mechanical Hard drive).

mount -t ufs -w /dev/ufs/FreeNASs1a /

Insert a FreeBSD 8.0 disk into your cd-rom drive and copy the files as shown:

mkdir /mnt/cdrom
Mount cdrom: mount -t cd9660 /dev/acd0 /mnt/cdrom/

Copy files across:

cp /mnt/cdrom/boot/kernel/if_bridge.ko /boot/kernel/
cp /mnt/cdrom/boot/kernel/bridgestp.ko /boot/kernel/

ee /boot/loader.conf

Add the following line:

if_bridge_load="YES"

Save and exit

Restart the server with "reboot"

Create the bridge and add interfaces:

ifconfig bridge create
ifconfig bridge addm em0 addm em1
ifconfig em0 up
ifconfig em1 ip

dhclient bridge0 (or ifconfig bridge0 inet 192.168.xx.xx netmask 255.255.255.0)

The name of your interfaces might vary. Check with ifconfig.

Note: You can start the bridge automatically at startup. Refer to the FreeBSD Handbook Chapter 31.5 to see how its done.

P.S. You may do this on FreeNAS 7.x as well. You just need to get FreeBSD 7.x's bridge modules for that kernel. They can obtained from http://download.altstu.ru/FreeBSD/releases/i386/7.2-RELEASE/boot/kernel/ or from a FreeBSD 7.x iso image.

Entering the BIOS Screen of an HP Proliant

I recently salvaged an HP Proliant Server from the trash (I know!!). It was in a fully functioning order, sporting 1 GB of RAM and a 2.6 GHz Pentium IV processor. It also had an Adaptec RAID controller for the hot swap module.

The problem I faced with the machine was when it boots up, the Adaptec controller displays its own boot-up screen - hence closing the default screen. I have never worked on an HP machine before so I had no idea how to get into the BIOS setup to configure the boot options.

I managed to stall the computer with a bootable USB drive and found what the keys were.

So, if you are stuck in the same dilemma I faced, these keys could come in handy.

F8 - Boot Menu
F10 - Setup Menu
F12 - Network Boot
ESC - Summary and Boot Progress

I am happy to say that this machine is now a dedicated NAS for my home network. :D (I also tried pfSense on it but NAS seem to be a more valuable duty for it - too powerful for routing.)

Solving SSH problem in Fedora

I have been asked many a times why SSH does not work on Fedora. The simple answer is SSH works. You just need to "unblock" it. The SSH port (22) is blocked by default in Fedora's firewall as a security measure. Go to System -> Administration -> Firewall and sign in as root. Check the box to allow SSH connections and Enable.

SSH should now work.

I recently came across a very handy utility which installs a lot of small but much needed extras for Fedora.

EasyLife for Fedora allows users to setup Flash, Java and a range of codecs and tools to play just about any multimedia file. It also has options to set the sudo functionality for normal users.

The utility can be downloaded from http://easylifeproject.org/.

Install it as root and you choose what features you want to enable. Its as easy as that.

Removing old packages from YUM cache

Running multiple Fedora machines means that I need to update them regularly to keep them in proper running conditions. Being a user in Australia, updating each and every machine puts a load on both my bandwidth and wallet since I pay per GB downloaded.

The simple solution is to enable YUM to keep the downloaded cache and tell all the machines to download the updates from that one machine. The downside of this method is that updates get acculmulated and hence puts a strain on hard disk space as old and new packages are collected.

I needed a way to clean-up the cache and keep only current updates.

The simple way to do it is to use a wonderful utility called Tidy RPM Cache. Its a python script written to recursively scan packages and remove the old ones. For Example if you have three versions of the same package (e.g. Wireshark 1.2.01, 1.2.02 and 1.2.03), Tidy RPM Cache, will only keep the latest one, i.e. Wireshark 1.2.03.

All you have to do is execute the script by pointing it to the directory where your cache is stored. The command is illustrated below. It will scan and clean all the repositories from which you have downloaded packages. Rest assured, you will be prompted whether or not you want to clear the packages once the scan is complete.

Tidy RPM Cache can be downloaded from freshmeat. Just click on TAR/GZ in the Links section.

Making Latex Work on Fedora 12

Although, TeX packages can be easily installed via the Add/Remove software, I find it easier to use the command-line specially when you need to install the tex packages.

Just issue the following commands as root to get everything working. Some packages might be redundant but they do get all the aspects of compiling tex documents and their bib files working.

yum - y install tetex-latex
yum - y install texlive
yum - y install tetex-IEEEtran

After installing these packages, you can compile your documents to pdf easily using pdflatex documentname.tex and bibtex bibliography.aux and there you have it.

How colour can affect your mood...

There is no escaping colour - it surrounds us every
second of every day. It should come as no surprise then, that individual colours
are thought to have a different impact on human behaviour and emotions. Colour
theorists argue that this is why a bright blue sky and yellow flowers make us
feel happy, while grey clouds can make us feel down. But are they right? We met
with an experienced colour psychologist to find out more.

I admit that I have always been a bit sceptical about the role colours play
in our lives. What does it mean that I picked out the black shirt hanging in my
closet over the green one? I’ve always thought it was just because the black one
was closer, and perhaps less wrinkled.

However, I will also admit defeat in that I now think there might be
some truth to colours having influence on our emotions and the nonverbal
messages we send to others. So what was it that made me 'see the light'? The
answer is colour psychologist Angela Wright.

Angela has been interested in the effect of colour on human behaviour since
her childhood, when her family owned a hotel in the Lake District. She became
interested in why some guests just 'felt better' in certain rooms. Since then,
her studies have included Freudian Psychology to support her theory that how
people respond to colour is not random, but mostly subconscious.

But Angela isn't the only one who believes colours around us can have
an impact on our mood and general wellbeing. Researchers at Leeds University
used a variety of colours in hydrotherapy rooms to encourage movement and
cheerfulness in patients. They were among the first researchers to use
mathematical equations to determine the emotional effects of colour. They
conducted a series of experiments which now allow them to say with mathematical
proof that colours do indeed have an effect on our emotions.

Angela, meanwhile, has spent her entire career meeting with individuals
to asses their individual emotional colour responses. She has recently helped to
launch the Philip’s
LivingColour lamp (pictured, right) which was the reason for our meeting.
The lamp has several colour settings which allow you to illuminate your room in
a shade that supposedly reflects your mood. However, when I got it home, I was
more curious about how this would brighten up the drab cream coloured walls of
my flat than how it was supposed to affect my mood. Could the lamp
really contain the same amount of stress relieving power as a mani/pedi at my
favourite spa?

In my preparation for my meeting with Dr Wright the following morning, I
decided to turn off the lights and flick on the lamp. And it was indeed very
illuminating. I had no idea what colour I should be choosing to aid in my post
work recovery, which admittedly I usually do with a piece of chocolate. However,
after several spins around the colour wheel, I finally settled on a light
greenish blue. I admit it was nice, and I think I felt a bit calmer, but I
wasn’t entirely convinced it was the lamp that had the effect on my anxiety
level.

My meeting with Angela the following morning brought some much needed
explanation. She taught me that there is no 'right' colour for someone or
something; it all depends on the individual or occasion, and how the colour
makes you feel in your 'gut.' One of the reasons Angela endorses the lamp is
because it adds the colour we desperately need into our homes without turning to
a paint brush.

While Angela does not tell people what to do in their homes and workplaces,
she does advise against certain colours. In a work place for example, there is
no worse colour than grey. The drab colour puts us to sleep and inhibits
productivity, which could explain why most of us reach for that extra cup of
coffee on cloudy days. She also advises against the use of bright yellows in
baby nurseries, claiming the overwhelming colour causes insomnia and hyperactive
children down the road.

Unfortunately my visit with Angela was a bit too short for her to do a
complete personality profile on me. But what I did learn has planted a little
seed of doubt in my wardrobe choices lately. Angela explained that when you wear
black, as I do quite often, you are subconsciously putting up a barrier to
others.

The
most popular food myths

There are four different personality types, with only the fourth one truly
being able to pull off black. These people are very self-motivated and focused,
not to mention intimidating. Oprah Winfrey and Sean Connery are examples of Type
4 personalities. As for me? Angela said she could tell right away from my
outgoing warmth that I was not a type 4, thus ruining any chance I had of being
able to completely pull off head-to-toe black.

So next time you are not sure what colour to paint your kitchen, or
what colour shirt to pick out for that first date, go with that colour that
physically makes you feel good. I’m afraid though that my deep love of the
classy, slimming black that my mother has instilled in me since birth may be
difficult to erase. But nonetheless, after meeting with Angela I have a new
found respect for the way colours influence our lives, and I’m learning slowly
(with the help of my new lamp) how to introduce colour to enhance my
emotions.

Papaya leaves juice a natural cure for dengue

"While the authorities across India continue to battle increasing number of dengue fever, which has no known vaccine, papaya leaves juice has been found to be helpful in combating the fever.

According to a message received from Dr Sumedha Bajaj of Bombay Hospital, two tablespoon full of papaya leaves juice once a day works wonders for the dengue affected persons.

Dr Bajaj quotes an instance of a patient suffering with dengue fever whose platelet count had dropped to 28,000 after three days in hospital and water had started to fill up her lung making it difficult for her to breathe.

Doctors had given up saying that there was no cure for dengue and the body’s immune system needed to build up resistance against dengue and fight its own battle.

It was then that papaya leaves juice came to her rescue. The very next day of having taken the juice that platelet count showed an upward trend and her fever subsided. With the continuous feeding of papaya leaf juice she recovered in three days.

Dr Bajaj says, just clean two pieces of only the leafy part, no stem or sap, and pound and squeeze with filter cloth. One leaf gives one tablespoon juice. The juice need not be boiled or cooked or rinsed with water, or it will loose its strength. Although, the juice is very bitter, it needs to be swallowed as it is and it works, says Dr Bajaj.

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumours.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

WHAT CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells . Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal,Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very sma ll amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it w h i te in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes t o no urish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more e nzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer ce lls to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

So, you are still looking for that one download manager which can take care of everything and yet be free of charge! A while back this idea would have been far-fetched but not now! GetRight and others brought us incredible experience and change the way we downloaded by providing resuming capabilities, a feature which is de facto in all managers these days. But their main drawback was their price!

But fear not since Free Download Manager (FDM) has paved its way into the DM Arena. It provides all features a user can ever need and the best part is that its free and compatible with Firefox. Though it does have a browser monitoring feature, I would recommend using it together with the Flashgot extension for Firefox, and you'll see how your life changes. The best thing about FDM is that it can also manage Rapidshare links directly. So, if you have a premium account, you can paste the link in FDM and give it your RS account user name and password and it will take care of the rest.

I've been using it for over a year now and never once did I have to turn back. I am more than pleased with it.

During the past few years, we have seen and witnessed the emergence of so many web browsers, all focusing on security since perpetrators breached into Microsoft's flagship web browser, the most popular Internet Explorer.

Many of us have since bowed to Mozilla Foundation's Firefox. For sure, Firefox and its plethora of addons is a must for any surfer and tech-aholic. But we have other choices as, and in this case here, a better choice to Firefox.

Opera for some unknown reasons has seen itself fall from zenith for no reason. I believe Internet Explorer reached out to people in such tremendous force that Opera was in no time in the dark, for Opera was amongst the first generation of web browsers. It has been out there much before any modern browser and has been in constant development. The last few years have seen Opera rising in fame again. Let us not forget that Opera introduced tab-browsing.

I have been using it since now 6 years and I have nothing to complain about. I just don't know why web designers don't use Opera's powerful features and make their web sites compatible with it. Opera has a huge collection of built plug-ins and its easy to add more.

New features are always on-coming in new releases of Opera; there's always something new to play with at some point in time with Opera. The newest version comes with the "speed dial" idea which allows a user to quickly select a favourite website he or she has set. This is a real time saver. You could just put all your favourite search engines and community sites and they would all be just one click away.

Opera is also very easy to expand with the widgets. Thousands and thousands of people work on developing the widgets and you can have anything you want. A particular one I like is the Sudoku widget - nice thing to play around with waiting for that download to be over. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you can embed and play games in Opera while you are browsing.

I see no reasons why you shouldn't give it a try. Its packed with features, loaded with options, fast in dealing with downloads, its a time-saver, its faster and its OPERA. A well-deserved name and reputation to live up to.

The last scent of the Harry Potter Soup…

Back in 1997, the Harry Potter concept was new, thrilling, entertaining and addictive at the same time. The magic of J.K. Rowling was working out on all Muggles. We just couldn't have enough of it and kept on waiting, more than impatiently, when the next book would eventually come out. We had to know what happens to Potter and his two closest friends. I was quite young myself in those days and willingly let myself drown in the fantasy of the Wizarding World. Throughout these past 10 years, experiencing Harry has been more than a thirst-quenching experience and I ought to say that Rowling has an immense imagination and loads of stuff which none of us would ever know – her own little secrets and facts about her characters and their wizarding environment.

I just grabbed and finished my long-awaited copy of the seventh and final installment of franchise and I believe its an awesome read. You have no time to think. The way it has been written is spectacularly blissful and coherent. Though you would want to grab a dictionary to check up on those words you have never seen before, but just the idea of leaving the text is painful and as such you would want to continue and forget about those un-understandable words. We can all do without them. Harry is far more important than a couple of high-sounding syllables. Though many of us would have expected a particular ending considering the facts mentioned in the 5^th Book. Things don't turn out that way, fortunately (or unfortunately!).

And l have this strange feeling that ideas may have been copied from somewhere else. Being a big-time science-fiction addicted lover, it wasn't hard for me to morph in to the context in which some scenes in the book were set.

// SPOILER WARNING … DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HATE SPOILERS AND DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE STORYLINE … YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED \\

Let's take for example some scenes in the forest, they oddly resemble those in lord of the rings. And the elves!!? Well, I would attribute the proper literary-belonging of elves as the magnificent beings created by J.R.R Tolkien. Many have speculated that Rowling has tarnished and dirtied without hesitation the marvelous creation of Tolkien's work and I completely agree with them. Being much more of a Tolkien fan, I do support this ideology. But the way she has used these creatures and made them into her own is more revolting I believe. Anyway, this is out of context.

The scene which many of us might have recollected as belonging to one of first scenes of the "The Matrix Revolutions" is after the "death" of Harry! After indeed getting shot by the killing curse (Avada Kedavra), Harry is sent to a sort of place like a station between the real and imaginary worlds, just like Neo being sent to the station after stopping those sentinels. And the similarity between both scenes is that they both take place in a train station!!!

Well, I was amazed by the way the story ends. I daresay I hadn't expected that ending at all. The end was good, but Rowling has left many questions unanswered! Let's give it a shot…

What's happens to Harry after the last battle?
What becomes of Harry? What's his job? Did he manage to become an Auror or not?
What did Harry do the years following the downfall of Voldemort?
What of the Wizarding community's reactions to Snape's doings and allegiance?
Who takes control of Hogwarts, in the sense that who becomes Headmaster or Headmistress?
What's the Wizarding World upto after all the events of the Battle of Hogwarts?
What of the Weasley family? Nothing much is mentioned about them? What happens to Mr. and Mrs. Weasley?

There are many other questions as well, pertaining to the staff of Hogwarts like McGonagall, Sprout, Flitwick and the rest. Nothing is said about them though they have been important characters since the very first book.

I am disappointed as I was supposing the author would answer these questions but nonetheless I was very intrigued and taken by the book. Its one heavenly read not to miss for anything…Muggles, tighten your seat bells and prepare yourselves for the last of the Harry Potter Magic…Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows…A definite read. Marvelous work Mrs. Rowling, History shall remember you forever…Harry has been indeed etched in the hearts of many.

Ah! Here comes another web browser for the Windows platform and its from no other firm than Microsoft sworn rival Apple. Apple has launched a public beta of its most famous Safari browser for the windows environment. As soon as I got hint of this from the BBC news technology section, I checked it out for myself.

The software is a sleek and elegant masterpiece, well-crafted to fit the needs of the web browser. It is not as bulky as Firefox and starts in a split second, so fast you don't even realise it. And when I say fast, I mean faster than any other application that lurks in your PC. It renders web pages quickly and effortlessly, though for now you might have some troubles viewing some pages, but that wasn't much of a problem for me. It opened all my pages flawlessly. If its doing so good in beta, I can just wonder what the final release will be like.

You have the option to download most used plug-ins when you request to get the package from the apple web site. Only the most needed plug-ins are available, such adobe flash, adobe reader, java and so on.

I am myself only starting to use it and I more than very happy with it. I am sure it will become one of my browsers of choice in a few days time, due to its simplicity and ease of use.

"You think you have family problems? Listen to my situation.

A few years ago I met a young widow with a grown up daughter.
We got married and I got myself a step-daughter.
Later, my father married my step-daughter.
That made my step daughter my step-mother.
And my father became my step-son.

Also my wife became mother-in-law of her father-in-law.
Much later the daughter of my wife, my step-mother, had a son.
This boy was my half brother because he was my father's son.
But he was also the son of my wife's daughter which made him my wife's grand-son.

Yahoo! Photos shutting down

I have just received an email from Multiply telling me about the option to transfer my Yahoo! photos. i was quite perplexed by this! Why in the hell would I want to transfer my Yahoo! Photos?! I am not a regular user of Multiply and I can't even remember the last time I logged in there, it's been ages and eons ago.

Making a quick search on Google, I got the answer to my question. Yahoo! Photos is shutting down its photo service and concentrating more on Flickr. By the Fall of this year, it should close down. Yahoo! Photos subscribers are encouraged to shift their photos to other photo sharing services such as Flickr, Kodak Gallery, Photobucket and Shutterfly. Or they can download their photos, one by one as Yahoo! does not support more-than-one transfer at a time! The option of ordering a CD archive of your photos is also available.

This is a real pain after having spent so many years hosting my photos on Yahoo! Photos. And the options and tools it provided were just perfect. I went through some of the other providers and they are not as handy as Y!P is when it comes to uploading photos, you have to upload them manually one by one. Only Kodak Gallery I know has an uploading tool, which can be integrated with Mozilla Firefox.

Check out your options now, so that when the time for the transition comes, you know where to go with your photos!

I very recently acquired the latest baby from Microsoft Office, the comprehensive masterpiece Office 2007 suite. The features are more than enough and the revamped interface is a breeze and a charm to use and feel. I just found out about the integrated Blogging feature directly from Word's interface and I am just trying it out. Microsoft went far to bring out this new version of Office and I daresay it is worth every single penny you pay for it. Cheers for this one Mr. Gates…

Flock?!! New Web Browsing Generation?!?

Many of you who are technology or software oriented, like me, would have come across advertisements and sites promoting the all new web browser Flock since the past few weeks. Many things are being said about it and I decided to try it out for myself since it was so blatant in my RSS feeds and CNET updates.

The software comes in a neat packaging amounting to 9.05 MB. The file size is much larger than any of its concurrent's from the open source corner. Mozilla's Firefox weighs 5.72 MB and Opera's offering does a 6.25 MB. Its two competitors sure have a much respected market of their own. Opera came up first with much of the technology upon which Firefox is based. Features like tab browsing were the result of Opera's research, at least that's where I first used it five years ago.

The funny thing I noticed when I ran Flock was its similarity with another browser I am darn familiar with since it's my default browser and I use it at least 5 hours a day. I was, to tell the truth, confused for a few seconds!! Did I press the wrong button on the Quick Launch bar?!! Nope, I didn't. Flock is the exact look-alike of Firefox. Identical to such an extent, you can say they are twins. The reason behind this is simple. After searching the web for 10 minutes or so, I found out the relationship. Flock is not only the son of Firefox, but it has also been built by some people who used to work for Mozilla Foundation, more notably Bart Decrem. He and his small cadre of programmers in Palo Alto, California , have spent this summer quietly readying Flock, an open-source browser. Flock is entirely based upon Firefox, for that point, or more precisely on the beta code of Firefox 1.5, not even 2.0.

So what's so different and new about it? Why is the world bragging about it? The difference is that Flock, unlike Firefox, comes with some integrated "plug-ins" which many users use often. That's one of the reasons why Flock is branded as a "social browser," meaning that the application plays nicely with popular web services like Flickr, Technorati and del.icio.us. Flock also features widely compliant WYSIWYG, drag-and-drop blogging tools. The browser even promises to detect and authenticate all those user accounts automatically. It's a clear attempt to be the browser of choice for the Web 2.0 user as it caters mainly for bloggers and web 2.0 savvy users.

What its not?

"Flock is not the browser that just anyone can pick up and use. Unlike Firefox, there is a slightly sharper learning curve. The way regular bookmarks are managed has changed, making it remarkably different from IE and Firefox, but seemingly closer to the way Safari handles bookmarks. Oh and I should mention, they are now called favorites not bookmarks. Apparently the bookmark has lost its cool factor now. Flock is not yet compatible with every extension and theme made for Firefox, therefore much of the functionality that Firefox users gain from extensions will be lost in Flock."

Once you first start it, it asks you for the famous "whether you want to set it as your default browser," to which I graciously answer no as I have to experience it to make a decision. After this you can a dialog which asks you to configure the browser with any Photo service you use; like Flikr and PhotoBucket. Then comes the configuration screens for the blogging service and favourites. Once done, you get access to the normal browsing window. On the Favourites toolbar you can see sites like MySpace, YouTube and MTv already added for your convenience. Just a quick roam about the application will reveal nothing more, but the Firefox usual interface.

You don't get much from Flock what you wouldn't have got from Firefox. Its just some add-ons and, as I understand it, for web 2.0 compliance which Firefox has too, since Flock is based on it. They brand Flock for the power users when in fact I would say it is for non-power users, as it makes surfers' life easier. Power-users can have add-ons installed into Firefox whenever they wish. Though Flock enthusiasts bring forward the point that installing add-ons makes Firefox unstable. As a hard core Firefox fan since the fall of Internet Explorer and an alternative to Opera (since Opera is not quite compatible with all web-pages but damn powerful and loaded), I have never experience any, I say ANY, problem whatsoever while running the Father of Flock for the past four years or so, that is since Firefox was first branded as FireBird.

If you are a Firefox or Opera user, Flock won't bring much to you. Maybe if you're an all-time blogger or you upload photos like its nobody's business, then Flock can save you some time, that's all you get and an easier web experience, from my point of view. I am sticking with the old Firefox 2.0.0.3 and my Opera 9.10. Oh by the way, I also use Internet Explorer 7.0, since Microsoft pages look awesome on it.

Go ahead make your choice, you have a lot to choose from. Hurrah to the Open Source community to bring out such wonderful pieces of lines of codes…

Microsoft Acquires Firefox !?

A usual check of my email dragged me to this one superb article on Yahoo! while I was on its home page. It talks about Microsoft acquiring Firefox, and just made it better. Both thrilled and saddened by this news, I went forward and checked the "official" website. Amazing. Its blended with the new Microsoft design and everything is well polished. They even published the video for the marketing and I can tell you its one hell of a video - so funny yet so professional. Give a look when you want.

All this to say that the guy after the website went to some length and troubles making all the plot look so nice. Yes, people as some of you may have guessed, it was all a carefully planned and much elaborated masterpiece of the digital era in which we live and get mistaken and tricked easily, by what is termed as phishing.

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?

2. People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room for the T.V. remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. and change the channel manually.

3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too". Damn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it?

4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they? Gonna Kick their asses!

5. When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor.

6. People who ask "Can I ask you a question?"....Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?

7.When something is 'new and improved!' Which is it?If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn't be new.

Fedora Core 6 (Zod) : Not Upto Expectations!!!

After downloading the DVD of FC6 (codenamed Zod) for 2 weeks I pretty disappointed by what I got. I did a nearly complete install of the thing since I am involved in development and web technologies a lot as a student in Telecommunications Engineering.

The first sight of the new interface and loading screen and all those very fine and polished graphics based on the DNA was more than amazing. Half of my thirst for Zod was blissfully quenching after experiencing this new and much refined system.

As soon as I logged in I tried to remove some software which I won't use and add others! To my great surprise, Zod won't allow me access to the software list without an internet connection!!! What the heck!? DO you need an internet connection to remove software! So, I switched on my wireless LAN card (I had FC6 set on my laptop). And the indicator lights for the card won't light up!! Ooops!! I check out the Device Manager - my card is well recognized but for some reason FC6 won't enable it! I can't even add new softwares for the DVD, it will ask me for repo0 or something. They such a mess out of what used to be a simple operating system. My first experience with Linux was Red Hat 8 and 9 years ago, on which FC is now based.

OK fine, let's move one and explore a bit more. I try enabling the Desktop Effects! It tells me it cannot enable it. This is utterly impossible since I do have a powerful enough graphics card on my laptop - an ATI mobility X1600 with 512MB HyperMemory. SO i say let's install the graphics drivers and to my even greater shock, my whole linux system crashed afterwards! The drivers worked fine in my other system, such as Ubuntu and Knoppix.

SO, obviously, after much dissatisfaction of Zod, I switched back to Ubuntu, which I dare rate as the premium Linux OS, after what I would call the fall the FC6. I am much disappointed! But still very satisfied with Ubuntu and Knoppix.

Windows XP Service Pack 3

Its been a while now since we all been waiting for the next update of Windows XP, either Home or Professional edition. That is the most anticipated Service Pack 3. Most of us are running Windows XP Service Pack 2, but since its release on August 6, 2004, there has been over 90 updates to Windows XP. Now over 2 years and still no news and confirmed date for SP3!

The tentative release date for SP3 has been scheduled for the second half of 2007, and that too is not very persuasive. Microsoft has not given any hint about. I have read somewhere on the net the few last weeks that even the tentative release in 2007 may be a postponed to 2008.

As stated on the Windows Service Road Map of Microsoft's website "
SP3 for Windows XP Professional (and Home) is currently planned for 1H CY2008. This date is preliminary."

The nightmare users have to through after a system reformat is tremendous. And there is no easy way to save or backup the updates after you download them. You must download each of them individually and execute each in turn after a fresh Windows re-install. The easiest way yet is to just log on to Microsoft Update and let the site do the updating job for you. Or you could use of of those "Windows Patch." These have been made to update your PC and it is to be noted that they are third party software. They indeed do a great job at giving you the latest updates but they do also cause a little modificating to your system.

Microsoft is giving its customers, or like it puts forward, its valued customers, a nightmarish time to wait for the next update. Professionals do indeed find this more than ridiculous. Consider a firm like Canonical Ltd, it makes it a must to come up with a new release of its Flagship Linux Operating System Ubuntu every 6 months. That doesn't just include updates and fixes but a whole new operating system, more stable and reliable. And now picture a firm like Microsoft making customers wait for now like more than 2 years and maybe even more. This is one more reason why more and more users are switching to Linux platforms.

If you are a fed up user, and want your Windows to be up-to-date, try using those patch for Windows XP and visit theHotFix.net for latest updates and to get the unofficial Windows XP SP3 The updates on thehotfix.net have not been confirmed by Microsoft though.

We do understand that Microsoft wants to put in all the latest bug fixes and new updates to its most successful OS, but 2 years is just too much considering the fact that support for XP ceases in late 2008. There should have been a Service Pack release between SP2 and latest one, which normally is SP4.

Let's hope it comes in time and we won't have to wait for next year!!!

By now the blogging community is well aware of the mishaps of several bloggers.  With Death threats to sexual harassment. But the latest threats have been targeted in such a way that it shook the very foundation of the blogosphere.

Where are we going?  Why so much hatred being between people of your own kind?  Why so much hatred towards people who are respected citizens who are ever contributing to make this world of ours a better place?

My full votes to a Blogging Code of Conduct.  The current situation is utterly unacceptable and repugnant.

A Wonderful Story

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in"

"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

HOW A 7 YEAR OLD EXPLAINS SEX (humor)

This is how a kid explains sex...

Little Johnny was 7 years old and like other boys his age
he had a few questions that heeded some answers. He had been
hearing quite a bit about 'making out' from the older boys, and he wondered what it was and how it was done.

One day he took a question to his mother, who became
rather flustered. Instead of explaining things to Johnny, she
told him to hide behind the curtains one night and watch his older sister and her boyfriend.

This he did. The following morning, Johnny described
EVERYTHING to his mother.

"Sis and her boyfriend sat and talked for a while, then he
turned off most of the lights. Then he started kissing and
hugging her. I figured 'Sis must be getting sick, because
her face started looking funny. He must have thought so too,
because he put his hand inside her blouse to feel her heart,
just the way the doctor would. Except he's not as smart as the
doctor because he seemed to have trouble finding her heart beat.

I guess he was getting sick too, because pretty soon both of
them started panting and getting all out of breath.
His other hand must have been cold because he put it under
her skirt. About this time 'Sis got worse and began to moan
and sigh and squirm around and slide down toward the end of the
couch.

This was when her fever started. I knew it was a fever, because
sis told him she felt really hot. Finally, I found out what was making them
so sick.

A big eel had gotten inside his pants somehow. It just jumped out of
his pants and stood there, about 10 inches long, honest, anyway he grabbed
it in one hand to keep it from getting away.

When Sis saw it, she got really scared-her eyes got big,
and her mouth fell open, and she started calling out to God and
stuff like that.

She said it was the biggest one she's ever seen, I should
tell her about the ones down at the lake by our house! Anyway,
Sis got brave and tried to kill the eel by biting its head
off. All of a sudden she grabbed it with both hands and held
it tight while he took a muzzle out of his pocket and slipped it
over the eel's head to keep it from biting again.

Sis lay back and spread her legs so she could get a scissor-lock
on it and he helped by lying on top of the eel. The eel put up a
hell of a fight. Sis started groaning and squealing and her
boyfriend almost upset the couch. I guess they wanted to
kill the eel by squashing it between them.

After a while they both quit moving and gave a great sigh.
Her boyfriend got up, and sure enough, they killed the eel.
I knew because it just hung there, limp, and some of its insides
were hanging out.

Sis and her boyfriend were a little tired from the battle, but
they went back to courting anyway. He started hugging and
kissing her again. By golly, the eel wasn't dead! It jumped
straight up and started to fight again.

I guess eels are like cats- they have nine lives or something.
This time, Sis jumped up and tried to kill it by sitting on it.
After about a 35 minute struggle, they finally killed the
eel. I knew it was dead, because I saw Sis's boyfriend peel its skin off and flush it down the toilet.

A letter from a Sardar's mother to her son....

My dear Lotta,

I am in a well here and hoping you are also in a well there. I'm writing this letter slowly, because I know you cannot read fast. We don't live where we did when you left home. Your dad read in the newspaper that most accidents happen within 20 miles from home, so we moved 25 miles away and are safe now.

I won't be able to send the address as the last Sardar who stayed here took the house numbers with him for his new house so he would not have to change his address. Hopefully by next week we will be able to take our earlier address plate here, and that our address will remain same too.

This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine, situated right above the toilet. I'm not sure it works too well. Last week I put in 3 shirts, pulled the chain and haven't seen them since.

The weather here isn't too bad. It rained only twice last week. The first time it rained for 3 days and second time for 4 days.

The coat you wanted me to send you, your Aunt said it would be a little too heavy to send in the mail with all the metal buttons, so we cut them off and put them in the pocket.

Your father has another job. He has 500 men under him. He is cutting the grass at the cemetery.

Your sister had a baby this morning. I haven't found out whether it is a girl or a boy, so I don't know whether you are an Aunt or Uncle.

Your uncle, Beppo Singh fell in the nearby well. Some men tried to pull him out, but he fought them off bravely and drowned. We cremated him and he burned for three days.

Your best friend, Genda Singh, is no more. He died trying to fulfill his father's last wishes. His father had wished to be buried in the sea after he died. And your friend died while in the process of digging a grave for his father.

There isn't much more news this time. Nothing much has happened.

Installing Husband Version 1.0 (Humor)

Dear ITech Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance - particularly in the flower and jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as Super 12 Version 5.0, Tri-Nations 3.0, Limited Overs 7.2 and especially Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.
I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail as it generates a corrupted file Abuse 7.0.
What can I do?

Firstly, bear in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.
Please visit: "http://I <> Thought You Loved Me.htm/" and try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.

If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, over use of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1vb.

Beer 6.1vb is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta . Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background, that will eventually seize control of all your system resources).

Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 7.7.

A distinguished looking young lady is on a flight returning from Switzerland. She finds herself seated next to a priest and asks" Excuse me father, may I ask a favor of you?"

I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make. I found the number and dialed it. A man answered, saying "Hello." I politely said, "This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn Carter?"

Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear "Get the right f**ing number!"
and the phone was slammed down on me. I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude.
When I tracked down Robyn's correct number to call her, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits.

After hanging up with her, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again.
When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled "You're an arsehole!" and hung up. I wrote his number down with the word 'arsehole' next to it, and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell, "You're an arsehole!" It always cheered me up.
When Caller ID was introduced, I thought my therapeutic 'arsehole' calling would have to stop. So, I called his number and said, "Hi, this is John Smith from the Telstra. I'm calling to see if you're familiar with our Caller ID Program?"

He yelled "NO!" and slammed down the phone.

I quickly called him back and said, "That's because you're an
arsehole!"

One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking spot. Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for. I hit the horn and yelled that I'd been waiting for that spot, but the idiot ignored me.

I noticed a "For Sale" sign in his back window, so I wrote down his number. A couple of days later, right after calling the first arsehole ( I had his number on speed dial,) I thought that I'd better call the BMW arsehole, too. I said, "Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?"

"Yes, it is", he said. "Can you tell me where I can see it?" I asked.
"Yes, I live at 34 Mowbray Blvd, in Vaucluse. It's a yellow house, and the car's parked right out in front."

"What's your name?" I asked.

"My name is Don Hansen," he said.

"When's a good time to catch you, Don?"

"I'm home every evening after five."

"Listen, Don, can I tell you something?"

"Yes?"

"Don, you're an arsehole!" Then I hung up, and added his number to my speed dial, too.

Now, when I had a problem, I had two arseholes to call. Then I came up
with an idea. I called Arsehole #1.

"Hello."

"Yeah you're an arsehole!" (But I didn't hang up.)

"Are you still there?" he asked.

"Yeah," I said.

"Stop calling me," he screamed.

"Make me," I said.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"My name is Don Hansen."

"Yeah? Where do you live?"

"Arsehole, I live at 34 Mowbray Blvd, Vaucluse, a yellow house, with
my black Beamer parked in front."

He said, "I'm coming over right now, Don. And you had better start
saying your prayers."

I said, "Yeah, like I'm really scared, arsehole," and hung up.

Then I called Arsehole #2. "Hello?" he said.

"Hello, arsehole," I said.

He yelled, "If I ever find out who you are..."

"You'll what?" I said.

"I'll kick your arse," he exclaimed.

I answered, "Well, arsehole, here's your chance. I'm coming over right now."

Then I hung up and immediately called the police, saying that I lived at 34 Mowbray Blvd, Vaucluse, and that I was on my way over there to kill my gay lover. Then I called Channel 9 News about the gang war going down in Mowbray Blvd, Vaucluse.

I quickly got into my car and headed over to Mowbray. I got there just in time to watch two arseholes beating the crap out of each other in front of six cop cars, an overhead police helicopter and a news crew. NOW I feel much better. Anger management really works.

Expecting life 2 treat u well because u r a good person is like

Aaah, what to say?? Well I don’t have the guts to say it all. I’ll just put it in note form.

Day 1: Shopping Mall then to the Doc

Day 2 – 4: Stuck at Hotel ‘cause of the cyclone

Day 5 – 7: Stayed with Dad for his leg treatment

Day 8 – 10: Spent in Bangalore. (Finally had some things to eat – Dad treated me with KFC all the 3 days, hehe)

Day 11 – 13: Returned to Chennai on the 11th day and got stuck in the Hotel. Got ill.

Day 13 – My State critical. Dad left me alone to go do the shopping, his shopping.

Day 14 – Went to see Doctor early morning to get some meds which would strengthen me so I can take the plane the next day. Hell. Meds and me?? Well, mustered enough courage in the afternoon so I could buy myself some things. I weren’t going to return empty-handed!!

Day 15 – NO MEDS work on me. But I still managed to get in the plane and back home. In one piece.

And now guess what?? Hahaha, I lost 5 kgs, yes 5kgs. And now I weigh only and exactly 50 kgs.

Well for the last trip I had lost nearly 12 kgs and never regained them. :( Hope I will put on some weight this time...

Friday, 30th Dec 2005

Reached the Chennai Airport at 2h30 am and waited for more than 3 hours to get in the plane. I still don't understand why you should be at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight!??!

And the worst is when you have no more local money on you??! Or maybe when the police guys don't understand a word of what you are saying in English and talking to you in their poetic language to which you can just smile broadly and follow the hand gestures, which fortunately you understand. Pffft. And these Police craps don't hesitate at all!?! Thay made me remove my jacket and my shirt in such a crowded place...hey, well, the gals were impressed...that what counts, hehe, though I have well lost at least 5 kgs. But a little more they'd made me remove my pants too - there were metals fittings on them - thank god someone invented those handheld metal detector and, huh well, hands.

Why hands?? Well instead of making you remove your pants those police guys would "caress" every corner of your body. Yeah EVERY part! Well that's better than having to remove the pants in a crowded place like that, isn't it?

Well, the kinda thing happened in the last minutes of our waiting! Dad didn't sleep for 2 days just to check on me for the night. Damn ill I was. And so while resting his head on the sofa there, he fell asleep and we were on the 2nd row. Pfff....and there it went. He had to snore. Well not snore as snore but as S N O R E. What do you, as a son, do when everyone looks for "who's THAT?" Huh?! Naah sincerely I dunno this guy!! Stop staring at me..I dunno him, ok?

Oh my?!! Not that we didn't seek advice from an ENT...they all say its normal, purely normal. But I didn't sleep for 2 weeks too. Just for the 2 - 3 days he stayed up for me. Aaaw, he's so sweet my Daddy.

And now as usual I got my seat by the "wings" just like on the 3 other flights. AAARG. Ruins all the fun. You don't see a thing of what's going on down there. And worst was that this time I was just where the Wings join the body of the aircraft, that is just 2 seats behind the emergency exit via the wing. And that part is painted in white and you are to keep your window shut if you don't wanna get the reflected light right in your eyes. And now if you just treated your eyes, that's another problem. Woah, even the return way was fun, see? But everything seems so peaceful when you are up there flying...

Home feels dull!! I was very keen to get back but dunno why everything is so dreary! Aaaah. Doesn't feel like anything...there is no happiness at all. How long is it gonna continue like this??

Hell, but do I have a right to enjoy life or not???

L'Être Parfait?

Il était une fois un homme et une femme parfaite qui se rencontrèrent.

Après s'être fait la cour, ils se marièrent, leur union était bien sûr
parfaite.

La nuit du réveillon de Noël, ce couple parfait conduisait leur voiture
parfaite le long d'une route déserte, lorsqu'ils remarquèrent quelqu'un en
détresse sur le bord de la route.

Etant parfaits, ils s'arrêtèrent pour apporter leur aide.

Cette personne était le père Noël, avec sa hotte remplie de cadeaux.

Ne voulant pas que des milliers d'enfants soient déçus la veille de Noël, le
couple parfait pris le Père Noël et ses jouets à bord de la voiture parfaite
et l'accompagnèrent dans sa distribution de cadeaux.

Malheureusement, en raison du mauvais temps, le couple parfait et le Père
Noël eurent un accident.

Seul l'un d'entre eux survécu, lequel ?

The wife comes home early & finds her husband in their master bedroom making
love to a beautiful, sexy young lady!

"You unfaithful, disrespectful pig! What are you doing? How dare you do
this to me the faithful wife, the mother of your children! I'm leaving this
house, I want a divorce!"

The husband replies "Wait, Wait a minute! Before you leave, at least listen
to what happened"

"Hummmmm, I don't know, well it'll be the last thing I will hear from you.
But make it fast, you unfaithful pig you"

The husband begins to tell his story . . . "While driving home this young
lady asks for a ride. I saw her so defenseless that I went ahead and
allowed her in my car. I noticed that she was very thin, not well dressed
and very dirty. She mentioned that she had not eaten for 3 days. With great
compassion and hurt, I brought her home and warmed up the enchiladas that I
made for you last night that you wouldn't eat because you're afraid you'll
gain weight; the poor thing, practically
devours them. Since she was very dirty I asked her to take a shower.

While she was showering, I noticed her clothes were dirty and full of holes
so I threw her clothes away. Since she needed clothes, I gave her the pair
of jeans that you have h for a few years, that you can no longer wear
because they are too tight on you, I also gave her the blouse that I gave
you on our anniversary and you don't wear because I don't have good taste. I
gave her the
pullover that my sister gave you for Christmas that you will not wear just
to bother my sister and I also gave her the boots that you bought at the
expensive boutique that you never wore again after you saw your co-worker
wearing the same pair."

The husband continues his story . . .

"The young woman was very grateful to me and I walked her to the door.

When we got to the door she turned around and with tears coming out of her
eyes, she asks me:

"Sir, do you have anything else that your wife does not use.........

Au lit l'autre soir avec ma femme, la temp�rature montait rapidement. Au
moment de passer aux choses s�rieuses, elle m'arr�ta et me dit :
�Non, mon amour, je ne le sens pas bien... �.
Puis elle ajouta :
" Je n'ai pas sp�cialement envie, je voudrais juste que tu me tiennes dans
tes bras. Tu n'es pas assez en phase avec mes besoins �motionnels de femme
pour que j'aie envie de satisfaire tes besoins sexuels d'homme ! �.
A mon regard �bahi, elle encha�na :
" Je voudrais que tu m'aimes pour ce que je suis et non pour ce que je fais
pour toi au lit ". Comprenant que rien ne se passerait ce soir-l�, je
n'insistai pas et je m'endormis.

Quelque temps apr�s, comme j'avais des cong�s � r�cup�rer, je d�cidai de
passer la journ�e avec elle. Apr�s un d�ner dans un petit restaurant sympa,
je l'emmenai dans un grand magasin de mode o� je l'invitai � essayer divers
v�tements sous mon regard int�ress�. Pendant un long moment, elle essaya
tout ce qui tombait sous ses yeux et parada devant moi comme une star.
Finalement, deux robes retinrent sp�cialement son attention. Comme elle ne
savait pas se d�cider, je lui laissai entendre qu'elle prendrait bien les
deux. A l'�tage suivant se trouvait le rayon des chaussures : une paire
neuve par robe semblait indispensable. Une jolie paire de boucles d'oreilles
lui faisait de l'oeil : hop, dans le panier !

Croyez-moi, ses yeux brillaient de plus en plus !!! Je la connais, je voyais
monter en elle une forme d'excitation indescriptible. Elle voulut m�me me
tester, voir jusqu'o� j'irai, car elle s'int�ressa aux bracelets de tennis.
Elle n'a jamais tenu une raquette, mais bon... Je r�pondis oui. Puis il y
eut quelques paires de bas, de la lingerie, un foulard, les rayons parfum et
maquillage et quelques bricoles.

Finalement, elle me regarda avec des yeux p�tillants comme du champagne, et
dit :
" Ca va �tre cher tout �a... On passe � la caisse ? "

Quand je r�pondis :
" Non, mon amour, je ne le sens pas bien... ",
son visage devint b�at d'�tonnement et sa bouche resta ouverte.
Je lui dis alors :
" je n'ai pas sp�cialement envie, je voulais simplement te voir habill�e
ainsi. Tu n'es pas assez en phase avec mes capacit�s financi�res d'homme
pour que je puisse satisfaire tes d�sirs d'achats de femme. "
Et comme elle me regardait avec des yeux assassins, j'ajoutai :
"Je voudrais que tu m'aimes pour ce que je suis et non pour ce que je
t'ach�te".

Et vlan dans la gueule!

There once was an Apache Indian whose given name was "Onestone". So

named because he had only one testicle. He hated that name and asked

everyone not to call him Onestone.

After years and years of torment, Onestone finally cracked and said,

Then one day a young woman named Blue Bird forgot and said, "Good
